Our Wine
Our vineyard consists of dry, steep hills at 2,000’ elevation. The vines are warmed by sandstone, granite, and Franciscan rock and by the sun’s heat averaging 90+ degrees in the summer. Winter nights averaging 33 degrees plus snow adds complexity and vigor to spring blooms, and helps keep our natural rootstock safe.

2007 "FREEDOM FROM THE PRESS"
100% free-run estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemakers disagree on whether or not there's a difference between "free-run" wine and pressed wine. For this vintage, there was no argument. Worthy of being bottled on its own, our 2007 "FFTP" has the soft structure of a pinot noir with the complex flavors of cabernet sauvignon. (Label artwork, "Forget-Me-Nots" by Bill Cone)
Production: 200 cases
Price: $38.00 a bottle (750ml)
Wine Club Members Price (25% discount): $28.50 a bottle (750ml)
2007 "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon
Only 500 bottles produced, our 2007 ''Reserve'' is comprised of our two favorite barrels from our 2007 estate cabernet sauvignon vintage. Concept Artist Terryl Whitlatch (Star Wars, Beowulf, and Jumanji) created a beautiful wine label for our best barrels. Called "Sapphire Phoenix", Terryl found inspiration by our vineyard's famous fire history.

2007
“Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2007 “Estate” Cabernet Sauvignon is an auspicious vintage. The growing season produced the thickest and most flavorful skins we’d ever grown. Potent and complex, her raven complexion reveals a feminine style, medium body, and dense flavors of fresh blueberries, chocolate, currant, cinnamon, violets, and cloves. This vintage aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.

“suerte" red wine
“Suerte” means “luck” in many countries, and for us, it represents our “luck in a bottle”. Bottled in 2010, this non-vintage red wine is a blend of our estate cabernet, syrah, and old vine zinfandel. Medium bodied with flavors cassis, raspberry, blackberry, anise, bell peppers, and bay leaves, “Suerte” is easy to drink and pair with meat dishes, curries, and even salads.

2006
“Estate” Cabernet Sauvignon
"Mom's Vintage"
2006 was a hot year with 116 degree heat. The weather produced our full-bodied Estate cab that has soft tannins and flavors of dark chocolate, blueberry, pepper, black cherry, plum, cassis, sweet tobacco, vanilla, and licorice. This vintage aged for 24 months in American, French, and Hungarian oak barrels and is unfiltered, leaving some sediment. One sip and you'll want a steak. Being young, the Estate cab will benefit from decanting and will age gracefully through 2016.

Our First Reserve Wine
In 2005, we enjoyed an ideal season and celebrated it with harvest on Dad's birthday. This unfiltered cab aged for 21 months in 100% new French Allier, Troncais, and Centre oak barrels.
